In 2015, the Pitchouns’ festival is 5 years old. It’s organized by the Villa Noailles and the city of Hyères from December 19th to 23rd. This festival is open to toddlers, children, teenagers and everybody for the generations to mix.

Let’s start with a party

Come to the Pitchouns’ festival, it’ll seriously rock ! The opening will be highlighted with surprises… and hot chocolate to drink with the 13 traditional christmas desserts from Provence. Because we are in Hyères and pitchouns means kids in Provence.

On the first day, DJ Crame will break the ice with music on a dancefloor for everybody during the teenagers’ studio party. The studio party is set up with the Studio 13/16, which is a space dedicated to youngsters aged 13 to 16 by the Pompidou Center in Paris. It promises to be an inventive and recreational afternoon with the designer Chemsedine Herriche creating clothes, accessories, pictures and videos. Registration is required to take part in the full session or open access to hasty teens for small sessions only.

And more music the following days : cello by Emmanuel Cremer and acapella chistmas carols by Les Voix animées.

5 days of activities

The younger ones will ride donkeys or laze around watching cartoons. Demonstrations and trampoline sessions will attract the active ones. Three exhibitions will be held on the theme of drawing: Julien Colombier, Laureline Galliot, Swash. Coloring is also proposed to children !

Youngsters can registrate for 5 mornings workshops on fashion (with Stéphanie Coudert), photography (with Cyrille Weiner), design (with Claire Lavabre) and architecture (with Charlotte Cauwer). Shorter sessions will gather families on the topic of design with polyfloss and teens on screen and sublimation-printing.

Treasure hunt

Starting on December 10th, a treasure hunt is proposed in numerous shops in Hyères’ center, the harbour and Ayguade, one of Hyères’district. Children need to visit the shops signaled by a « chasse aux trésors » sign on the window and ask for the treasure hunt card. There are 10 different cards to collect, to be able to take part in the random draw on December 23rd and take a chance in winning gifts.

Good luck to all “pitchouns” !
