Hyères is awarded the “City of Art and History” label. This national label is a major asset for cultural tourism. It recognizes the rich architecture, heritage and nature of Hyères and its Golden Isles.
Now the city belongs to the national network of 167 cities and lands of Art and History that offers their expertise to visitors and residents throughout France. The label “Cities and Lands of Art and History” takes all assets that contribute to the area’s identity and ensures the quality of actions into account.
The building of the former Bank of France, located in the city center next to the Tourist Office, will be redeveloped in the Interpretation Centre of Architecture and Heritage (CIAP), Heritage workshop and Projects’ house. This new location should allow locals and visitors to discover and take advantage of our territory’s wealth and diversity of the heritage.
