Les dalles de Bagaud

Just a few meters from the shore of Bagaud Island (nature reserve), here's a pleasant diving site, equally suited to beginners and experienced divers.

The Pointe we're interested in is located to the north-east of the island of Bagaud. The site has a mooring buoy reserved primarily for diving clubs. The dive boat must moor here first. There is no current on the site, as it is well protected from the Mistral.

Pointe du Beau is an ideal spot for first dives and other Level 1s. The site reveals a pretty underwater architecture of large flat rocks. It is also known as "Les Dalles de Bagaud". Even at depths of 5 meters or more, you can easily observe families of small groupers hidden beneath these famous natural slabs.

The rocks are surrounded by magnificent Posidonia meadows. A feast for the eye. There are also some pretty red gorgonians and rare giant mother-of-pearl (a protected species). In addition to a few juvenile groupers, you'll find all the small Mediterranean fauna: girelles, ashy and peacock crenilabres, saups, writing serrans, common sars and schooling drum. A few corbs are also back, thanks to their classification as a protected species.
