Estissac Fort

Built between 1633 and 1637, this fort was built to counter Spanish threat which was pervasive on provencal coasts at that time. Nowadays, the fort houses an exhibition which is open to the public in summer.

Listed in the Additional Inventory of Historical Monuments, this fort originally consisted of a large round tower, with 2 vaulted levels. It is caracterised by its enclosure drawing a 5-pointed star.
