LM Studio Gallery

LM Studio Gallery and artists residency is presenting international and french contemporary artists selected for their professional and relational qualities along the art walk" Parcours des Arts de la ville de Hyères". For 4 weeks minimum, the artist is able to show, experiment, develop or finish projects and be inspired by the rich surroundings and network with other artists helped by the fact that he is living above the gallery.
LM Studio's goal is to become a vital actor in the cultural touristic PACA scene. The scheduling of independent artist recognized by gallerists, collectors or other artists as well as juried by the owner Laurence Neron-Bancel and chosen to look for a very diversified audience in Hyères-the main idea is to start a discussion with the artist him or herself. Opened in 2016, the success of LM Studio is due to the long experience of the founder Laurence Néron-Bancel*, who is still actively working in New York as a docent at the Whitney Museum and is herself an artist. Another important key is the "Parcours des Arts" and the cultural context with now a museum-La Banque- It is adding attraction to the city already very well known thanks to the villa Noailles, international cultural center.
*Laurence Neron-Bancel is an artist working mainly in collages since 1995 under the name of LMCollage. When Shi is not working at the museum or in her studio Laurence is travelling a lot around the world and establishing relationship and looking for new artists in residency.
